Health Insurance Marketplace
CareNet’s licensed and certified navigators can provide free assistance to any northwest Ohioan enrolling in federal Health Insurance Marketplace or Medicaid health plans. This includes free assistance with a special enrollment period for people who have lost employer-sponsored coverage, aged off their parents’ insurance, or have other qualifying life changes.
Navigators can provide free assistance in-person, on the phone, or via a virtual meeting to residents of 21 northwest Ohio counties. CareNet is a member of the Ohio Association of Foodbanks’ navigator consortium, which serves 77 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

When meeting with a CareNet navigator, residents should bring photo identification and income verification, preferably last year’s tax return. They also should bring insurance coverage information for everyone in their household.
